Swindon Lives: A&T

In our latest edition of Swindon Lives, we caught up with Tyrone Small of A&T, a group of experienced musicians brought together by their love for similar tastes in music, which he formed with close friend, Ant Henderson.

How did your band form?

"It all started as an accoustic project with Ant & I, and having written a few original tracks, we decided to form a big band"

How long have you been performing in Swindon?

"We've been performing here since April 20th, when we appeared at The Victoria!"

What is your favourite thing about performing here?

"The people in Swindon are closely connected, so word soon gets around about shows and new artists"

Which band/artist has been the major influence on what you do?

"Probably 'The Roots'"

If you could duet with any singer, who would it be?

"Jill Scott"

Describe your act in 3 words...

"Big, loud, funky!"

What is your favourite track to perform?

"Crazy" - listen to the track here

A gig to a large crowd, or a small and intimate performance?

"A gig to a MASSIVE crowd, definitely"

What sets you apart from the rest?

"We're a group of young musicians, with a soul and hip hop rapper!"

If you could give one piece of of advice to budding artists, what would it be?

"I'd definietly tell them to keep doing what they're doing, and Ant always says 'if you like your sound, stay with it'!"
