James Fraser, Marketplace Manager, said “Whether you’re a seasoned vendor or a first-time participant, our Pride Marketplace offers unique and unparalleled visibility and a chance to reach out to a diverse audience of LGBTQ+ individuals, allies and families.
James continued, “The feedback from 2023 highlighted how important the Pride Marketplace is in showcasing the best of our county, and this year we are aiming for an even bigger experience.”
Applications are encouraged from a diverse range of areas from food and speciality drink vendors to retail, crafts and activities, as well as national and local business, public services, charities and other organisations.
Paul Stewart, Chairperson, said “As a volunteer committee, we’re really excited about 2024 and our plans are progressing well as we gear up for the most vibrant and inclusive event yet. We have lots of new and exciting ideas for this year’s celebrations and we’ll be hard at work for the next few months as the countdown continues.”
Paul added, “We are always on the look-out for more year-round volunteers as part of our core team, and now is an exciting time to join the Pride family. We are currently looking for people with skills that include website editing, applying for grants, and community engagement. Anyone interested to applying should email [email protected]”
