REVIEW: Vue Cinema Complex in Swindon
Eager to see the new Bridget Jones film Mad About The Boy, we ventured along to the newly opened Vue Cinema Complex at Greenbridge, Swindon.
What an experience! The complex is state-of-the-art, beginning on arrival in the foyer with a comprehensive self-service area providing a huge choice of drinks and snacks. The venue features an IMAX and 11 additional screens, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised upon entering the screening area: amazing, luxurious reclining leather seats with your own individual electric buttons to operate your reclining seat and footrest. Integrated with your seat is an individual table for your snacks and drinks, and there is a huge amount of room. No more worrying about someone behind you kicking your seat or being able to see past people in front. There is free parking on site, and every screen has wheelchair access.
Needless to say, we loved the new Bridget Jones film. No spoilers here, but what a joy to see Renée Zellweger again in the beloved role of Bridget. She is funny, sad, totally believable, and just simply wonderful. Hugh Grant reprises his role as Daniel Cleaver and is hilarious. The two new leading men are gorgeous, and the actors playing Bridget’s children are superb. We had a wonderful experience attending the venue and watching the film.
