Wiltshire charity launches series of live fundraising concerts

Swindon & Wiltshire Pride last week launched a series of online live concerts to help raise money for the town’s foodbank.

Chair Jo Sharpe said, "We are a community group, run by local volunteers, and one of our favourite aspects of being a Pride family is reaching out to the local community. Every penny raised through our online Fundraisers will go to Swindon Food Collective, who have seen an unprecedented increase in demand."

The weekly concerts will be championing local artists, and the series was launched on Friday night with the Quarantino Girls, along with Alternative Sunday Nights with local Drag Artists: The Fabulous Miss Bridy and Boy Jase, and our home-grown Lucy Luscious Lips.

Jo, continued “We have a fantastic selection of local talent lined up for our Friday Night Bands concerts, and we’re extremely grateful to all the artists for giving up their time to help Swindon Food Collective in their mission to fight food poverty. We appreciate this is an exceedingly difficult time for people and any support that can be given is vital”
