Blenheim Palace launches ‘Bee Adventurous’ back to school trail

As the new school term is here, Blenheim Palace has announced the launch of its all-new ‘Bee Adventurous’ back-to-school campaign offering families a buzzing blend of adventure, exploration, and education.

In partnership with Rowse Honey, Adventure Play, the family attraction within Blenheim Palace will feature a new temporary Bee Trail, encouraging young adventurers to learn more about the fascinating pollinators. Available from 2nd to 30th September children will be able to get buzzy with the bee challenges across each play zone whilst learning all about our honey-making friends on the Estate. Once young adventurers have completed, they will be rewarded with a special bee badge.

The new trail is suitable for all ages from 2 to 12, the perfect way to enjoy the last of the summer sunshine, and make the most of after school time and weekends.

Until 30th September, families will also be able to enjoy an offer at the Walled Garden Pizzeria which includes a kids margarita or pepperoni pizza, juice carton and tub of ice-cream for £10.

Earlier this year, Blenheim Palace announced the launch of its brand-new Palace and Play Pass, which gives visitors unlimited access to Adventure Play as well as to Blenheim Palace, Park and Gardens.* The Palace and Play Pass is ideal for new visitors who want to enjoy a complete family experience at Britain's Greatest Palace, and current Annual Pass holders can also upgrade to give them unlimited access to Adventure Play.

The Annual Pass grants access to a range of areas and activities across the Blenheim Estate including:

  • Marlborough Maze - get lost within the two miles of yew trees for hours of fun
  • Walled Garden & Potager Garden - explore the space brimming with seasonal plants and vegetables
  • Rowse Honey Bee Trail & Hive - follow the bee trail to learn about the vital role of bees and visit the Rowse Honey Hive which offers a hands-on experience where families can learn about bees, hedgerows and the best plants for attracting pollinators
  • Butterfly House - wander through a paradise filled with fluttering butterfly species from all over the globe
  • Adventure Play - where imaginations run wild in the impressive outdoor play area featuring ziplines, giant carrots, a variety of sensory experiences and even a winding river!
  • Palace, Park & Gardens - roam through the historic Palace and the stunning 2,000 acre Parkland and Formal Garden

Heather Carter, Managing Director at Blenheim Palace, said: "Our new Palace & Play Pass has been a huge hit this year and we’re delighted to offer our new Bee Trail as another value added activity offering for families to enjoy as part of it. Heading back to school in September is exciting but can also be a bit of a daunting time for some, so we’re encouraging learning in a unique environment whilst exploring and playing outdoors. Combining education and play is perfect for the back-to-school season.”

Available at £150 for a family of four (two adults and two children) and at £50 per adult and £40 per child for individual passes, a valid Palace and Play Pass is required for families to take part in the Bee Trail.

Existing Family Annual Pass holders (two adults and two children) can upgrade to the new Palace and Play Pass for £51 and individual annual passes can be upgraded for £18 per child and £12 per adult.

*Terms and conditions apply. Please visit blenheimpalace.com for full details. Annual Pass holders can upgrade their pass in person when visiting Blenheim Palace.
