National Apprenticeship Week 2020 at New College Swindon
In order to mark National Apprenticeships Week 2020, New College Swindon is running a number of campaigns and initiatives.
28 APPRENTICESHIPS IN 28 DAYS
In the lead up to National Apprenticeships Week 2020, New College has been running a fantastic campaign for employers - 28 Apprentices in 28 days!
Between Monday 13th January and Monday 10th February, the College aims to get 28 Apprenticeship vacancies identified with employers - and are still on the lookout for employers who can help to make it happen!
Most employers will be aware of the benefits of employing an Apprentice, but here's a reminder of how it can help:
- The development of a well-trained, well-motivated workforce
- Increased productivity through better trained staff
- Improved company performance with measurable impact
- Demonstrates your commitment to staff development
- Helps you use your Apprenticeship levy or helps you access government funding
The total at the end of National Apprenticeship Week (3rd-7th February) will be announced.
SOCIAL MEDIA GIVEAWAY AND OTHER ACTIVITY
There will be themed coverage across New College Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts throughout National Apprenticeships week. Coverage will include case studies, a myth-buster giveaway on Instagram, where there will be the chance to win a £25 Amazon voucher, as well as a Q&A session on Instagram with Apprenticeships Manager, Sharon Jones.
APPRENTICESHIPS OFFER AT NEW COLLEGE
As a training provider, the programmes at New College have been developed to provide a structured progression route for developing talent within an organisation. The College offers dedicated account management, a thorough training needs analysis, help with advertising vacancies, complete support throughout the apprenticeship programme. The team also assist employers in the completion of any paperwork and funding applications and also pre-screen and shortlist candidates based on specifications provided by employers.
There are a range of apprenticeship subjects and Levels on offer at New College, from Accounting, Business Administration and Network Engineer, to Laboratory Technician, Digital Marketing and Childcare. Apprenticeship programmes are designed to complement different career pathways, providing training and qualifications from GCSE level, right up to degree level.
