“We’ve both been crafting for many years and have gathered an array of materials and knowledge,” said Jennie. “Like many of our friends, we were fed up with having to travel so far to participate in workshops and initially thought about setting up the barn just for ourselves. We had so much positive feedback from like-minded friends that we decided to launch Lechlade Craft Barn as a place to come and enjoy lots of different crafts. Some workshops we will lead ourselves and for others we will draft in experts in different fields.”
The first workshops will begin in October and November with Jewellery Making for Beginners, Christmas Papercrafts, Card Making and creating a Vintage Door Wreath from old book pages. Next year the pair will also expand the workshop calendar to include mosaic making, needle felting, patchwork and other textile crafts.
