Shani celebrated her 50th birthday in January this year, a milestone that inspired her to take a leap of faith. With the memory of her beloved mum, who passed away in November 2021, firmly in her heart, Shani decided it was time to pursue her lifelong dream of owning a yarn shop. Caring for her parents in their later years only deepened her resolve to follow her passion and share it with others.
On June 8, 2024, Creative Crochet by Shani opened its doors at the Craft Village in Studley Grange Garden Centre. The shop has quickly become a haven for crochet enthusiasts, offering a range of workshops that have been fully booked through the end of July. Students have flocked to these workshops, and the shop has already gained eight five-star reviews on Google, praising the quality of instruction and the welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to workshops, Creative Crochet by Shani recently launched its first bespoke crochet kit, designed with beginners in mind. This is just the beginning, as many more kits are on the way. The shop is also filled with quirky accessories for both crocheters and knitters, making it a must-visit for anyone passionate about yarn crafts.
Creative Crochet by Shani is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm. It stands as a testament to Shani's dedication to her craft and her desire to honor her mum's memory by teaching the next generation of crochet enthusiasts.
