Their Family Fun Day is perfectly situated to bring members of the town together for a worthy cause and this year was no exception.
Santa Claus made a special appearance, delighting children with his jolly presence and creating memories with plenty of smiles. The event also saw the arrival of Spiderman and the Snow Sisters, adding extra magic to the day. Visitors enjoyed a variety of activities, including a tombola, a "Guess the Name of the Elf" competition, a raffle, face painting and more. The free store trail and reindeer food-making activity were also big hits with the little ones.
“The event was a wonderful celebration of community spirit, with families coming together for a day of Christmas cheer.” Rachael Matwiejczyk Booth
Combating hunger and poverty, Cirencester Foodbank offer three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local individuals in times of crisis. Since being founded by Cirencester’s local churches and community groups in 2012, this Foodbank now covers 210 square miles and provides other essentials for those in need as well as developing initiatives to positively impact the future of Cirencester.
Gardiner Haskins proudly ensured that 100% of the funds raised went directly to the Cirencester Foodbank, with all event costs covered by the store and generous supporters. This heartwarming donation showcased the true spirit of giving and community support, making a real difference for those in need this festive season.
