Website Email 01793 881777DoubleTree by Hilton, the UK’s fastest growing upscale brand, and a part of the Hilton’s portfolio, today announced that Hilton Swindon will be converted to a DoubleTree by Hilton as part of a renovation programme overseen by Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton.
The hotel will unveil its new look, along with new offerings for business meetings, weddings and other events in December 2016. The rebrand and refurbishment follows significant investment in the hotel that will see the property open later this year as a DoubleTree by Hilton.
The bedrooms at the new-look DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon – which all have en-suite bathrooms - are named after Cotswold villages, reflecting the hotel’s location in one of the UK’s most picturesque regions. Room names include Mickleton, Fairford, Painswick, Naunton, Chedworth, Bibury, Burford and Lechlade.
DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon’s restaurant will be rebranding in 2017. It will be named 14Twelve after the 14 locks and twelve miles of the Stroudwater Navigation waterway.
The meeting rooms and meeting spaces all feature new furniture and equipment, while new carpets, drapes and chairs and refreshed walls and lighting give the main function room a new colour scheme and fresh feel. Similarly, the refreshed wedding room has an exciting new feel. Seating capacity in the hotel’s popular and thriving lounge increases from 36 to 60, making DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon the ideal venue for drop-in meetings, interviews, morning coffee and afternoon teas.
Parking will be free to all conference delegates and daytime meeting guests spending £10 or more at the hotel. Lobby guests, day guests, conference users and Hilton HHonors members will also enjoy free Wi-fi.
Leading a new management team at DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon are Peter Hendry, general manager and Sarah Milford, director of sales. Peter arrived at Hilton Swindon in May 2016, having spent three years as general manager at Hampton by Hilton Sheffield and one year in the same role at Hampton by Hilton Birmingham Broad Street.
