Battleground Launches Hot Yoga

Battleground Fitness UK is excited to announce a hot new addition to their weekly classes; Hot Yoga.

Hot Yoga has been taking the UK by storm; which is unsurprising since it’s a great way to keep your body and mind healthy.

For those of you not familiar with the hot phenomenon, it involves the age old practice of yoga in a heated studio which helps to get your blood flowing and increases your sweating - which in turn helps your body detox from the inside out. It’s a great exercise to leave you feeling stretched, strong and refreshed.

The hot classes at Battleground Fitness will involve dynamic freestyle yoga, mixed styles of hatha, ashtanga and vinyasa flow, arm balance and inversion strength work.

There are many benefits to practicing hot yoga. The heat works to aid your body and in theory makes the movements easier. For those of us who are less supple, the heat warms your muscles which can help improve your flexibility and in turn your yoga workout.

The heat can also enhance the physical impact of your yoga session, by making your heart and lungs work harder. This improves your cardio and aerobic workout – meaning you really are making the most of the class.

Both yoga and hot yoga are effective way of increasing your strength, flexibility and balance. They both provide a fantastic workout and help to rebalance your mind - not just your body.
