IT'S UP TO US: How you can prevent Coronavirus spreading in Swindon

With Swindon unfortunately seeing a rise in Coronavirus cases over the last few weeks, Swindon Borough Council have recently launched a new campaign: 'Swindon: It's up to all of us'.

Swindon Borough Council are urging residents to follow the new campaign 'Swindon: It's up to us' and do their bit to help prevent further spread of Coronavirus here in Swindon. We need you to play your part.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus, residents must self-isolate and stay at home 10 days, book a test (which you can easily do online here or by ringing 119), and keep others safe. Make sure that if you have symptoms, don't socialise with others, don't go to work, don't go shopping or mix with anybody who lives outside your household.

If you're going out, make sure you keep washing your hands regularly for 20 seconds, wear a face covering over your nose AND mouth in enclosed spaces or areas where you're unable to social distance and stay at least 2m away from others who are not in your household.

If you have any of the following symptoms, no matter how mild, get tested straight away. You can book a test online or call 119.

  • High temperature
  • Persistent cough
  • Loss of or change to taste or smell
