inSwindon to Celebrate and Commemorate the Great War with Huge Street Party
inSwindon has joined forces with Swindon in the Great War to commemorate WW1 at Wharf Green on Saturday 9th August.
inSwindon BID Company, alongside Swindon Borough Council and local organisations are set to host a series of events to celebrate and commemorate the Great War.
The festivities will include public films on the Big Screen, re-enactments, archive photographs & footage, displays, and a family fun day.
On Saturday Saturday 9th August, shoppers are invited to take part in activities including a traditional street party in Wharf Green with music and dance through the last hundred years and Great War films on the Big Screen.
Visitors will also be able to try their hand at bread making, the old fashioned way in Theatre Square, clamber over large inflatables along Canal Walk or tackle the giant climbing wall in Havelock Street.
