People in Swindon can learn how to perform CPR for free this month

People in Swindon and across the South West are being offered the chance to learn how to perform CPR for free.

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is inviting people to attend their free community events this month as part of Restart a Heart Day.

The national day is dedicated to raising awareness about cardiac arrests and is designed to teach people how to perform CPR, as well as how to use and locate a defibrillator.

Any questions people may have can be answered by NHS staff on hand. 

You’ll even be given a certificate if you complete the 15-minute CPR sessions.

The events will take place at Brunel Centre in Swindon on October 19 and in Gloucester, Poole, Bristol, and Saint Austell.
