SAF-VR Birthday Party

We booked a birthday party for 10 children for our daughter Ava at SAF-VR in Old town, as we were looking for the perfect combination of something different, a gaming experience, physical activity and a party that would be suitable for a range of ages and abilities. SAF-VR were truly exceptional, the perfect choice which absolutely ticked all the boxes and more.

SAF-VR is Swindon's first Virtual Reality experience and is conveniently situated in Old town.

Their parties allow you to have completely private use of the venue so it's safe and secure, with a 2 hour private gaming experience which is set out over 4 different themed rooms, allowing the children to play as individuals, against each other or on teams. 

They offer a wonderful wide range of exciting games so the children can choose what's most suitable for them, whether completely new to gaming, experienced, physically demanding, mentally challenging or easy. 

On entering, the excited children were greeted enthusiastically by Scott who had laid out a table with sweet cones (included in the price) that is superb for placing all the gifts, balloons and banners, as well as any food and drink you'd like to bring. You can place underneath the table all your coats and bags. 

As Scott explained how the headsets worked carefully, taking the time individually to ensure each child understood there was a flurry of activity and excitable squeals of joy and chatter as curtains were pulled back into the different rooms, they couldn't wait to get going. 

They were off! Scott was on hand for every child, nipping in and out of the rooms to assist with games, fit headsets, serve drinks and answer questions throughout. His service was outstanding and he had an immediate rapport with all the children knowing exactly what they needed. 

The children were absolutely buzzing, as I sat back in amusement with a coffee watching the frenzy of activity and listening to the glee the children were having. 

The adults couldn't resist having a go and having not used a VR Headset before I was blown away by the technology and the whole experience was amazing. We will be back!

The 2 hour booking time gave all the children plenty of time to play, eat and take breaks.

I really can't thank Scott enough, I'd highly recommend this venue for a party, corporate event or a family and friend activity (as rooms can be booked individually for smaller parties) gift vouchers and memberships are available too.
