inSwindon BID’s farewell to Simon Jackson

After a 5-year service, Simon Jackson, CEO of inSwindon BID, is stepping down from his position.

After joining the company back in October 2008, Jackson has put a number of key strategic initiatives in place.

Popular schemes have included reducing the car parking costs, the appointment of the street team ambassadors, successfully winning the British BIDs Accreditation for 2011, the launch of the My Loyalty Card scheme and upgrading radio systems for both daytime and night time retailers.

Jackson described leaving inSwindon BID Company as, “a tough decision after successfully winning the ballot in February 2012.

During his tome as CEO, Jackson has also backed a series of high profile events including the Disney Light Switch-On, The Royal Opera House Screenings, Last Night of the Proms, The Olympic Torch relay, Olympic and Paralympic Games.

He continued “I have met some incredible people since being in post in Swindon, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and send my best wishes and hopes that Swindon can realise its full potential.”

Simon, who is stepping down on April 12^th is leaving to pursue other business opportunities.

“I have had a great team working with me in the past five years and thank them personally

for all their help over this period,” Simon added.
