Snapped: Eddie Izzard in Swindon

Comedian Eddie Izzard let his political stance known on Monday when he helped launch the campaign of prospective Labour MP Anne Snelgrove.

The award winning cross-dresser came to Swindon on his own volition on Monday to help launch the campaign of the prospective South Swindon Labour MP Anne Snelgrove. 

It is all to play for in this marginal seat, so in the hope of furthering the prospects of the party he backs, he showed his face to a pleased crowd.

Only time will tell if his presence has made a difference, so it's now up to the competing parties to get a famous face to get their campaign ball rolling.
