Snapped: Heritage Phone Box Transformed into Hi-Tech Wi-Fi Hub

North Wiltshire MP James Gray re-opened a refurbished telephone kiosk in Purton on Friday afternoon. Through Purton's Parish Council and local data communications company Lde Digital Services the kiosk has been restored and revived to its former glory. While the outside of the box may look familiar, appearances can be deceptive, the inside of the phone box has taken a very modern role, providing passers by with high speed WiFi internet access. An information screen within the kiosk provides a map and details of the local area while an external web cam gives the world a glimpse of the village.
