Snapped: Swindon Festival of Literature Launch 2015

Local literary lovers gathered at Swindon Central Library on Tuesday 24th March as the Festival of Literature's impressive line-up of acclaimed novelists and philosophers was officially announced.

The Festival is now firmly established on Wiltshire’s cultural calendar and has even recieved national acclaim. 

Authors due to appear in May are varied and many. They include quick-witted broadcaster Sandi Toksvig, acclaimed international novelist Jung Chang, philosopher A C Grayling, model runner Nell McAndrew and impressionist and translator Rory Bremner.

As well as these, there are also numerous other talks, discussions, readings, storytelling, and an exhibition of author portraits at main theatres, arts venues, libraries, parks, museums, galleries, and even an ex-cowshed, in Swindon!. 

Festival standing events also include the early-morning Dawn Chorus; the sixth Swindon Think Slam; a Children & Families Day; the eleventh Youth Slam; the nineteenth Swindon Poetry Slam; and the fabulous Poems, Pints, and Music Finale!
