Student Lock Down discount event returns for third year in Swindon town centre.

Students from across Swindon and Wiltshire are invited to the third exclusive Student Lock Down event in Swindon town centre on Monday 30th September, from 5-8pm.

Organised annually by inSwindon town centre BID, the event is another initiative which aims to support the town centre businesses in attracting fresh footfall. The FREE event attracted over 250 students in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength since launching in 2017.

For 2019, the Registration Zone will be located at the crossroads near Topshop. Students who attend the event will be able to bag themselves exclusive discounts of up to 20% off, a FREE Goody Bag full of treats plus more items to collect from each participating store including free merchandise, vouchers and food and drink treats using a trail card.

Plus, they’ll automatically become a Loyalty Club member and able to take advantage of offers from over 80 stores all year round.

An exclusive Gold Envelope Prize Draw will also take place on the night, packed with prizes courtesy of town centre businesses including £5, £10, £20 vouchers, gifts plus theatre and event tickets to The Wyvern Theatre, Swindon Town Football Club, MECA, Swindon Wildcats and more - will you be a winner?

inSwindon BID CEO, Di Powell said, “We’re so excited about the return of the Student Lock Down and thrilled to have support of over 30 businesses, each offering something exclusively for students, as well as prizes, event tickets and more. This is a chance for students to get together and take advantage of some fantastic offers right here in Swindon town centre and really make a night of it.”

The event promises to be brimming with businesses and activities offering something unique as well as live music. inSwindon BID, Buzz Gym, EDGE Bar and Clubroom, Metro Bank and Metro Man, MFOR Festival, EDGE Bar and Clubroom and Swindon Wildcats players will all feature at the Registration Zone with some providing merchandise, information, prizes or money off vouchers.

Blue Banana are offering students 20% off everything in store including piercings, plus a gold envelope prize of a FREE piercing for one winner.

Buzz Gym are running exclusive offers on the night, including FREE day passes for each goody bag, plus a chance to win FREE membership for a month for three lucky students!

EDGE Bar and Clubroom are giving students the chance to WIN a VIP Package to include a drinks tab of £50 at their stand, plus everyone that enters the competition will also receive special offers throughout the year including birthday booths and exclusive deals.

inSwindon BID will also be running a series of competitions across the event giving students the chance of winning FREE tickets to events, matches and shows, all courtesy of MECA, Swindon Wildcats, The Wyvern Theatre and Swindon Town Football Club.

JD Sports on Canal Walk have a special set from DJ Jay Hayden instore planned and are providing goody bags for students, plus a chance to WIN free trainers for a year.

Nando’s at Regent Circus are offering a FREE ‘Fire Starter’ for Students between 5-9pm, when spending £7 or more in one transaction and upon presentation of a valid NUS card. Plus, a competition to WIN 2 Full Platters with a whole chicken with 4 regular sides will be up for grabs in one of the gold envelopes!

The Parade are also offering FREE mocktails at their FREE Tiki Bar between Metro Bank and Topshop and for every 20th mocktail served, there’s a chance to win £10 to spend at The Parade.
