Swindon Wildcats Release Camo-Style Remembrance Jersey in Honour of Remembrance
Swindon Wildcats are delighted to announce that in honour of Remembrance Weekend this year we will be wearing limited-edition Camo-Style Remembrance Jerseys to help raise awareness for our fallen heroes.
This night will be sponsored by Smarter Media - a digital marketing agency that help you with your SEO, paid advertising and much more!
Our limited-edition jerseys won the fan poll that we ran a few weeks back, making the Remembrance Camo Design the fan favourite for this season’s themed shirt. Our ‘Cats will proudly wear them for the game against Raiders IHC on Saturday 2nd November as well as our game against Peterborough Phantoms on Saturday 9th November.
We will be auctioning the shirts off at these games and as fans you’ll be able to get your hands on one of these one-of-a-kind jerseys by placing your bids up on the first-floor concourse during both games on the 2nd and 9th November. Similarly, to our end of season auction, a poster for each player will be on the wall opposite the Coffee Corner area on the first floor of the Better Link Centre, so just bid an amount with your name and number for your chance to win.
For both these games we’ll also be offering a Military Discount whereby anyone with a Military ID card will be able to come and watch the game at a discounted price of £10 per adult and £4 per child, valid for rink-side standing tickets. You can purchase these tickets in the Wildcat Sports Shop on the night or online in advance, but you must provide a valid Military ID card on the night or entry will be refused. Throughout the game on the 9th we will have collection buckets being passed around the balcony and rink side by military personnel as well as local Royal British Legion volunteers, all the money raised during the collection will be going to the Royal British Legion. A charity that provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.
We have Phoebe Maddison from The Voice Kids performing the National Anthem at our memorial game on the 9th as well as our guest of honour, the Mayor of Swindon, Kevin Parry. It promises to be a game that will live long in the memory of players and staff alike and go down in Wildcats history.
