REVIEW: The Vaulted Spa at The Kings Head Hotel Cirencester

The Twilight Spa Treatment at The Kings Head Hotel offers the most wonderful, special and a completely unique experience.

It's rare that an experience is totally flawless in all areas but this is exactly what we had the pleasure of with a spa package at The Vaulted Spa at The Kings Head Hotel Cirencester.

Superb food and drink, outstanding service, a beautiful venue and a luxurious spa treatment.

After much consideration, I booked the Twilight Spa Package, there are several other package options available to suit varying budgets, guest numbers and requirements. Should you wish you can add on overnight stay in the beautiful hotel situated in the centre of Cirencester.

I have visited many spas over the years I can honestly say that this is the most wonderful, special and completely unique experience.

The Twilight Spa Package had everything we needed for total indulgence including:  

• Dinner in MBB Brasserie
• 45 minute Elemis signature treatment
• Use of fluffy robes, slippers and towels 
• Rejuvenating Smoothie
• 1 Hour Thermal Spa use which includes two hot tubs, Steam room, Shower, Relaxation area, Infrared Sauna, beverage area.

The Vaulted Spa is truly stunning, you are instantly transported into a sense of peace and relaxation. The clever mix of exposed brickwork combined with luxurious treatment rooms, fluffy blankets, flickering candles, aromatic fragrances in the air and serene calming music set the scene for what is a very special treat. It oozes an atmosphere of privacy, calm, exclusivity and luxury, The busy world above is suddenly a million miles away. 

We were greeted warmly by the lovely spa staff with robes, slippers and towels and changed in the private changing areas and taken to our private treatment room with heated beds, warm blankets and soothing music.

The treatment menu is extensive using specially selected ELEMIS products. Our treatments on the day were ELEMIS Frangipani Back Exfoliation and Massage and ELEMIS Facial. The treatments for the spa packages change monthly so please enquire. 

Our therapists were extremely knowledgeable and professional tailoring our treatments to suit our specific needs, carefully explaining the products and process. My facial was absolutely magnificent both the quality of the products, the therapists technique and the environment as was my guest's massage. I mentioned to my therapist that it was truly the best facial I had ever experienced.

After our treatments we relaxed in the thermal spa making use of the hot tub, steam and sauna rooms with a rejuvenating smoothie in the relaxation room. We left the spa feeling reset in both mind and body and totally rejuvenated. 

MBB Brasserie is a relaxed restaurant modern yet in keeping with the character of The Kings Head offering a fantastic range of exquisite dishes from a carefully chosen menu. Cooked by chefs in an open kitchen it's a delectable way to start or end your spa experience. You can choose from either the Table D’Hote Menu or Main Menu. Our food was of exceptional quality and flavour, cooked perfectly. 

I cannot express highly enough how enjoyable the whole experience was. Fantastic quality, service and professionalism throughout in such a beautiful venue.
