Tone Up at Home
For workouts you can do at home, try the following fat busting exercises. Whether you're on the go or in your living room, Battle Ground Fitness' Pierre Spamer demonstrates his top 3 ways to tone up at home. Each of the following exercises are guaranteed to get your heart racing, and you can do them no matter where you are.
Split Squats
Pierre Says
"This is a complex exercise that works the entire lower body, it's a great fat burner there's nothing better than working the legs. I'd say aim for 30 squats, then one set of 28, one set of 26 and a final set of 20. This exercise is fantastic because it can be done at home, outside, inside its limitless because you only need a tiny bit of space. If you do this exercise every day for two weeks, you'll begin to see and feel your legs tone up and your cardiovascular fitness will increase."
Mountain Climbers / Push Ups
Pierre Says
"This exercise requires you to do a Mountain Climber followed by a Push Up. It's a great work out because you're going from an arm, ab and leg exercise into a chest, ab and shoulder exercise. This will help you achieve toned arms and a nice flat stomach. It's slightly more complex than other moves, but it's incredibly effective for the upper body, legs and core. For every 20 Mountain Climbers do 5 Push Ups and roughly 10 to 15 reps."
Burpee, Chest to Floor
Pierre Says
"This move is essentially a Burpee followed by a Push Up followed by an Explosive jump. In terms of difficulty it's at the upper echelon of training because you're using most of the bones, muscles and joints in your body. It's the number one fat burning and conditioning exercise out there and provides people with the fastest results once they've mastered it. Aim to do as many as you can in 2 minutes."
