Lotmead Pick Your Own

Lotmead PYO is a family friendly activity farm just outside Swindon well known for its fabulous ‘pick your own’ strawberries and exciting play area.

It's the perfect place for a relaxing day out and is open from Monday to Sunday from 9.30am until 5pm from 25th May until October – however sometimes hours do need to change temporarily, check their Facebook or Instagram pages or call their farm hotline on 01793 790137 to double check before you set off.

They may have a few strawberries in May, but it will be limited and they are likely to have the fields closed more than they are open until they move into June.

Pumpkins

From October, families can pick their own pumpkins in a dedicated area of the farm. Pumpkins, squashes, gourds, carving kits and accessories will be available. There is no booking, just turn up. It is free to enter the PYO area, just pay for what you pick.

Lots To Do

With acres of space for kids to run around in, there’s lots to see and do. There’s a nature trail that leads to a small lake and bird sanctuary, a small animal enclosure perfect for younger children and a Strawberry Thief themed play area with climbing frames, swings and slides.

Pick Your Own

It is free to entry the Pick Your Own area, you just pay for what you pick per kilogram! As well as strawberries, across the season Lotmead offers a great choice of seasonal soft fruits and vegetables including raspberries, gooseberries, sweet blackcurrants, asparagus, potatoes, courgettes, runner beans, sweetcorn, spinach and beetroot. Farm Store

Lotmead’s Farm Store sells fresh local produce along with natural dairy foods, jams, fruits and select pre-picked vegetables. It also serves a tasty variety of hot and cold snacks, beverages, salads and sandwiches all freshly prepared each day as well as home-baked cakes, ice cream, soft drinks and juices.

The café has covered seating, as well as picnic benches in the children’s play area making it easy to keep an eye on the kids as they play.

Dogs Welcome

Visitors are welcome to bring their well-behaved dogs provided they remain on a lead throughout their visit and any messes are picked up and binned!
