An Introduction to SsangYong

Ssangyong is one of Korea’s largest car manufacturers, producing up to 240,000 cars a year.

It first entered the UK market in 1994 with one vehicle, the Musso and now just over 20 years later it has grown its range and popularity by introducing a variety of luxury cars alongside its SUV range as well as vans.

The first SsangYong cars appeared on Minerva’s forecourt in August last year and given the competitive prices and high specs, they have attracted a lot of customer interest. We like the fact that SsangYong tends to highly spec its vehicles and that it continually invests in new cutting-edge designs that offer comfort, style and high driving performance.

SsangYong’s latest model, the new Tivoli (also cleverly spelling ‘I lov it’ in reverse), is an affordable, practical, highly environmentally friendly and stylish car.  Available in a choice of six standard colours, the Tivoli has some excellent innovative features, including a Smart Steer system and automatic headlights.   We fully anticipate this versatile vehicle to appeal to a broad market and sell well across the UK and from our own customer feedback we know that is the case.
