August Talk with Jamie Martin

August is upon us and the weather has got hotter! It’s the month of holidays, summer fun and time off for many people. So how are small business owners coping with the month often known as ‘silly season’?

Today we’re talking to Jamie Martin, Managing Director and Founder of Correct Careers Coaching, a Modern Sales Training and Sales Strategy Business. Correct Careers Coaching delivers modern sales training (full sales cycle) including social media marketing/prospecting, lead generation, new business conversion, client relationship management, negotiation, as well as our own pioneering programme - sales psychology.

What are your personal plans for this month – if you are happy to share? Can you give us a ‘tip’ for places to visit during this summer month?
I would definitely recommend that people visit The Gower in Wales. There are lots of great beaches and places to walk!

August 20 is World Photo Day – can you share a photo which means something to you this year so far
The photo I would love to share is from when I attended the Insider 42 under 42 event.

Did you know August 21 is World Entrepreneurs Day? What does this word mean to you and do you apply it to yourself?
To me this means challenging yourself and setting stretch goals. I apply it to myself and my business by doing what I enjoy, and I am passionate about.

Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently? 
Neil Moore of Moore Photographics, has been working with myself and my clients and has had fantastic feedback.

We are in a cost of living crisis at the moment? Is that impacting you at all in life or business? Do you have any money-saving tips you can share?
The one tip I would like to share is to always focus on your return of investment for any purchase.
