BIG HIGHWORTH COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

Britain’s Got Talent winner, Richard Hadfield, will be performing at Big Highworth Community Foundation’s charity Christmas concert on 23 November 2024 at St Michael’s and Angels church in Highworth from 7.30pm to 10.30pm. There will be a bar and raffle on the night too to help boost charity funds.

Richard said,

“I am incredibly excited to be visiting Highworth and performing at St Michael’s and Angels church in aid of Big Highworth Community Foundation.”

“The evening will include some Christmas songs, lots of sing-a-longs and interactive tunes and some wonderful musical theatre. I hope to see lots of people join us to support such a wonderful community charity.”

Since winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 alongside musical theatre boy band Collabro, Richard hasn’t stopped. Some of his accolades include knocking Ed Sheeran off the No.1 album spot, singing for royalty across the UK, and most recently being a regular fixture at Twickenham stadium when singing the national anthem for England Rugby.

Chair of Big Highworth Alison Cross-Jones said,

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to welcome Richard to Highworth. It’s wonderful to have his support in our efforts to fundraise for our small local charity. 

Richard has previously been described as Pavarotti meets Magic Mike.”

Richard’s love for music and singing started with a love for jazz music, when he was sixteen. He started his career busking to classics from Nat King Cole to Ella Fitzgeral to Frank Sinatra in his tux in Brighton. Within two years Richard began singing in local pubs and had also had a few amateur musical theatre lead roles. He even appeared in the feature film in 'The World's End' with Simon Pegg. He appeared on Britain’s Got Talent in 2014 and the rest as they say is history.
