Cathy Hargreaves shares how she supports children and teenagers during Stress Awareness Month

It’s almost the end of April, the weather is getting warmer, and the flowers are blooming! April is also Stress Awareness Month and today we’re talking to Cathy Hargreaves who is a Rapid Transformational Therapist who works with children. Cathy is sharing how she helps children and teenagers to manage their stress.

We are all so aware of stress.

It shows up in everyone's life to one degree or another.

As adults we can often recognise how it shows up in our life, how it impacts us, what causes it and often we try and find ways to manage it. To make sense of it, to try and reduce it.

But what happens if you're a child or teenager who is feeling overwhelming feelings of anxiety, stress, panic, or fear?

When children and teens are completely overwhelmed by these thoughts, sometimes their thoughts turn to suicide thinking this is the only escape from how they're feeling.

Young people often haven't yet developed the emotional skills and ability to be able to understand and process these scary thoughts.

With the heartbreaking number of young people ending their life by suicide increasing each year, we need to find a way to help free them from these overwhelming thoughts.

I offer a therapy that goes beyond just talking about the issue and gets right to the root cause of their beliefs and thoughts.

How do I do this? By using a blend of therapy techniques including hypnotherapy.

It's powerful stuff!

It gets right to the root cause, giving the child/teen understanding, awareness, and empowerment to take control of their life again.

I've worked with clients as young as 7 who have been having suicidal thoughts and ideation.

They are finding freedom in just 1-3 months.

Check out feedback from a 10-year-old I worked with for just one month:

This beautiful client came to see me wanting me to help her with her suicidal thoughts. She felt life wasn't worth it and she felt so alone.

"I did like working with you because the way the session was executed made me go back and see why things happened and how I can move forward.”

"The sadness and scared has gone. I'm no longer scared that I will hurt myself. I trust myself more. I don't have the dark thoughts anymore."

She is no longer having the same dark thoughts and is feeling much happier and she's enjoying life again.

It's fast and it's transformational.

I'd love to help you too.
