SWINDON FINANCIAL ADVISOR DAVE SOUTHBY SHORTLISTED FOR BUSINESS AWARDS

Swindon businessman and founder of Dave Southby Financial Planning, Dave Southby, has been shortlisted for the Most Promising New Business Award at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

Dave Southby, 31, from Wroughton, established his financial planning company in 2021. Reflecting on this recognition, Dave said, "We are so proud of being shortlisted for the Most Promising New Business Award. The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, now in its fifth year, celebrate the innovation, talent, and entrepreneurship of companies across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Swindon.

With 11 major categories, including Commitment to the Community, Excellence in Sustainability, and Employer of the Year, the awards highlight the best in regional business excellence.

The Most Promising New Business Award celebrates the best of new businesses in the Thames Valley. Entrants in this category are expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with exceptional commercial success relative to the size of the business. To qualify, businesses must be within their first three years of operation.

Dave Southby Financial Planning was born out of Dave's desire for a career change during the lockdown. After studying for his financial planning exams, Dave launched his company with a clear vision for success. The business saw a turnover of over £80K in its first year and has since grown to become a local employer with ambitions for further rapid expansion.
