Debbie Gilbert is looking forward to another awards show in 2023!

Debbie Gilbert of the Best Businesswomen Awards is looking forward to an exciting 2023. Mid-January was the launch of the latest awards and as with the previous years, this year is looking to be fantastic. Here Debbie tells us why…

On January 18th this year we had the launch of The Best Businesswomen Awards 2023. We’re now in our 9th year running these awards and celebrating amazing businesswomen and their teams from all over the country. We set up the awards in 2015 to recognise great female entrepreneurs and business leaders who make an impact on their industry.

This year is exciting for us because we have some fantastic new categories for people to enter into and this means we now have 19 categories for people to enter into! The new ones are:

• Best Creative Business,
• Best Green Business,
• Best Solopreneur.

We also have some amazing new sponsors coming on board this year including Fiona Scott of Scott Media and returning sponsors like Denise O’Leary of Purpol Marketing.

The awards are hard work to get set up and the night is always crazy and busy but it’s worth it when you see the winners faces when their names are called. One of my highlights is seeing the women out of the office and all dressed up in their finest looking so glamourous! They really do look beautiful.

The night is a pure celebration of everyone even if they don’t win. We have fantastic food, a wonderful emcee and entertainment that gets everyone on the dance floor. There’s no competition in the room, everyone celebrates each other and their achievements building their business and at times the needs of their families.

Winners in previous years have included Taz Thornton for Best Coach in 2018, Denise O’Leary in 2018 for Best Businesswoman in Marketing and PR Services who then returned as a sponsor in the following years and most recently Jen and Sue Blackwell of DanceSyndrome for Charity Champion.
