Emma Georgiou

Emma Georgiou is sharing her plans for the end of 2023!

December is here! Christmas lights are up and businesses are starting to wind down to take a break over the festive season.

Today we’re talking to Emma Georgiou, Executive Coach, Consultant and Trainer who works with individuals and organisations to help them build resilience, improve performance, and create happier, more cohesive teams.
Emma is based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, but frequently travels across the country to support her clients.

What does December mean for your business?
The end of the year is a time for reflection and looking forward to what the new year can bring, which makes people think about how and what they need to put in place to help them move forwards. Because of this, I find that December is a very busy month. Clients (both coaching and consulting) are keen to get things in place for the end of the year/ start of the new year, so there is a flurry of activity, particularly in the first two weeks of December.

Give us a flavour of your highlights of 2023.
2023 has been a year of growth for me – both personally and professionally. If I had to sum it up in a sentence, I would say that it has been a year of learning and unlearning: learning new ways of working and meeting new people, and letting go of the habits and ways of working that are no longer serving me.

Five positive things that happened this year were:
1. I made the decision to focus on growing my coaching work, which had previously been placed on the backburner, and secondary to my healthcare consultancy work.

2. I got more involved in the local business community and started regularly attending networking events to connect and collaborate with other business people and entrepreneurs. This has provided me with a fantastic support circle which is something I didn’t realise I would need when I started working for myself.

3. Through the networking, I got the opportunity to speak at an Oxfordshire networking event, and spoke to 200 people about the importance of personal resilience in business.

4. My coaching client base has been growing steadily throughout the year, and I have had the opportunity to work with some fantastic people – people I probably would never have met if I had not focused on growing the coaching side of my business.

5. I have spent a lot of time this year investing in my personal development, to help me bring new skills and perspectives to my coaching business, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. This has already started to open up new avenues to explore in 2024.

Would you like to thank anyone who has been especially helpful to you throughout this year?
From a business perspective, I have worked with some amazing people this year but four people I would really like to thank are:

  • Fiona Scott of Scott Media,
  • Lisa Marie Mallier of No Fluff Communications,
  • Samantha Jayne of Samantha Jayne Ltd
  • Stefan Thomas of The Networking Retreat.

These four people have helped me immensely this year, and I am very grateful for their support.

Are you doing any kind of special offer or package in December that you’d like to mention?
Anyone who signs up for my six-month coaching package in December or January will receive a discount of £111, bringing the cost down to £888. You just need to quote the word ‘Christmas’ when booking.

What has been your proudest personal moment in 2023?
There are lots of proud moments in 2023, too many to mention. The thing I am most proud of is that I have stayed focused on what was important to me, and just kept going.

If you could choose three words to sum up 2023, what would they be and why?
For all the reasons listed above, it has been a year of Evolution, Growth and Alignment both personally and professionally.
