February Talk with Caroline Peyton
It's February and Valentine's Day has come and gone and it now appears we're in a period of extreme weather this week. Historically February is a month of ‘new beginnings’ and today we're talking to Caroline Peyton of Peyton Principles. Caroline is a qualified nutritionist, naturopath and gut health expert helping those who suffer with unresolved digestive and gut symptoms to finally find relief. She also supports businesses with wellbeing in the workplace including supporting their staff going through menopause. She has clinics in Swindon and the Cotswolds and also online globally.
What do you love about running your own business?
The joy of helping clients overcome (potentially years) of debilitating symptoms
The freedom to work the hours that suit me - I left corporate life to have a better work/life balance.
The freedom to expand my business into new areas.
What do you love about your business community?
I have really discovered a fabulous supportive community, especially in the past two (pandemic) years. People genuinely want to help and support each other to succeed.
As a sole trader it can be a lonely place, but being part of a business community makes a huge difference.
What do you love about your business which has changed over the last year?
I love the flexibility to work both online (to serve a wider even global client base) and face to face. Through the many lockdowns, Zoom technology became mainstream which enabled me to stay in business and serve my clients, but I missed the personal interaction of face to face meetings.
I can now offer clients both options to suit their needs.
What have been the main challenges you’ve had to overcome in the last year?
I’m fortunate that my business has expanded in the last year but I did not take the best care of my own needs and my “work life balance” suffered – the very thing I left corporate life for!
I had to become more disciplined in managing my working diary.
In the yearly cycle of your business – what do you expect during February?
February tends to be a month of new client enquiries after Christmas. Most people assume my busiest month would be January but I think it takes a month of self-improvement for people to realise that having dedicated professional support will enable them to achieve their health goals.
Have you got any special offers you’d like to mention?
I am excited to be running a 14 day online nutrition programme on 28th March for ladies: “Take back control of your Hormones”.
In the past year many ladies have asked me to run a menopause programme so here it is!
The programme includes a full 14 day meal plan with menus and recipes; foods to eat and foods to avoid; symptom checklist; and unique to my programmes my tutorial videos providing guidance, expertise and insights to motivate you.
It is a 360 degree view of all aspects of hormone health. If you feel you are no longer firing on all cylinders, then this is for you. You can book here:
