GOING TO GREAT HEIGHTS TO SAVE LIVES
The team at Wiltshire-based Halo Staffing have launched a three-year collaboration with Wiltshire Air Ambulance to raise money for its life-saving services.
Scott Shill, MD of Halo Staffing said: "We're thrilled to be involved in supporting the amazing work done by this vital service, a service we hope we will never need yet we want it to be there. We are donating 10% of our revenue from one of our most popular courses known as Standard 12 Basic Life Support to help provide vital cash for this service.
"When I visited the Wiltshire Air Ambulance base I was so impressed by what they do on a daily basis to try to save lives."
Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a local charity that provides an essential helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) across Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas.
Naomi Barker, of Wiltshire Air Ambulance said: “Each year we need to raise £4 million to keep the helicopter flying and continue saving lives. We receive no regular direct government funding or National Lottery, so we have to rely on generous donations from the public and local businesses, such as Halo Staffing, to help support our lifesaving work. We’re very excited and privileged that Halo Staffing have chosen us as their first charity to support. We can’t wait to see what the next three years bring!”
Halo Staffing, which works nationally and has its HQ in Royal Wootton Bassett, are specialists in providing temporary and permanent staffing solutions within health and social care.
"Anyone who books on our course to help them respond effectively in a medical emergency will know they are helping themselves, others and also indirectly funding the work of Wiltshire Air Ambulance," Scott said.
