Hannah Edwards, of Empowered VA Services, is looking forward to the summer!
It’s July which is the second summer month and one which has a real sporty feel – including the Wimbledon, British Open Golf and the Tour de France!
Today we’re talking to Hannah Edwards of Empowered VA Services. Hannah is a virtual assistant and social media manager based in Swindon. She helps small businesses gain back their time by doing the tasks that they hate so that they can concentrate on the big picture work.
What are your plans for July in your business?
July is the exciting South West Expo at the STEAM museum on the 17th. I’ll be there supporting on the Scott Media stand. I’ll also be attending the first ever Active Bystander Conference held by the Hollie Gazzard Trust.
Other than that, it’s the same as normal – networking, supporting clients with their admin and social media and working in a client’s office!
What are your personal plans for this month?
I don’t have too much planned – I’ll be reading and catching up on the TV shows and movies I missed whilst studying for my business degree!
On a much lighter note – July 17 is World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis? Do you use them?
I use emojis a lot in my messages and am a fan of the star when announcing new podcast episodes and exciting news!
Can you name one business you’d like to give a summer shout out too? Who has gone the extra mile for you recently?
A huge shout out to Barbara Leatham who when I feel like I have an idea for a new service will always give me an honest answer as to whether it’s any good or if I’m pricing it right!
As a consumer have you visited a local business, bought their products or services and thought ‘I must recommend them’!
I recently use Darren Gillam of Drain Developments. I phoned him in a panic one morning and he came out that afternoon and fixed the issue. He explained everything that he had needed to do and didn’t charge me the earth for a same day call out!
Are you raising money for charity or volunteering this month in any way?
I’ll be nabbing people as they go by on the Scott Media stand to take part in an on the spot raffle to raise money for Ainslie’s Pavilion Project!
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
I’m opening up my diary for social media page audits again so if you’d like to know more book in for them by emailing [email protected] and mention ‘TGJuly’ and you can get a Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn audit for £30 instead of the normal £45!
