Janet Shreeve of Shreeve Care Service is sharing her plans for a busy September!
September is almost here – what will this month bring for business owners?
Today we’re talking to Janet Shreeve who is director of Shreeve Care Services. They provide business development to care providers, advice to clients looking for care options and they also provide a bidding service to get on to frameworks. Janet is sharing with us what September will bring for her company.
How was your summer as we go into Autumn? Are there any highlights for you or your business?
Summer has always been a strange time for the care sector but after 3 years of COVID, this year has felt more like pre Covid times for many care providers.
My business highlight has been assisting a client with support and advice around their grandmother. It has always been my passion to ensure that clients have all of the options available to them during what is always a challenging time.
What’s coming up for your business in September?
It’s full steam ahead at Shreeve Care Services! We’re celebrating one year since I started the business and we’re concentrating on working to support as many people as possible and there is potentially a new part to the business happening soon! September is also the month that we concentrate on Alzheimers and promote awareness around this.
September is also known as ‘organic’ month. When it comes to your business/organisation/personal life what do you do to be ‘more green’?
I try to think before getting into the car far more than I used to and we look at as many ways as possible to be more green. This is why I promote live in care as a more sustainable way of providing care as it limits the amount of travelling that you need to do.
World Gratitude Day takes place this month (Sept 21) – what are you grateful for in your business/organisation/at home?
I am truly grateful to be able to make a difference in a sector that is often maligned and definitely under funded. I have been very privileged with working with businesses that truly care for their clients and try to make a difference to their everyday lives.
What are your hopes for business for the rest of this year?
I am launching a new service and will be sharing more information soon as things progress.
We are dealing with a lot of messages around ‘bad’ news such as the rising cost of living and interest rates rising. How are you keeping positive?
I have found that working with people who give so much is always the best way to remember to remain as positive as possible and be grateful for what we have.
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
I am offering a free 15 minute advice call during September and October to anyone who wishes to discuss care or support for a relative.
And finally, September 30 is International Podcast Day. Do you listen to podcasts or do you have one of your own?
Yes I do – in particular I like How to Fail with Elizabeth Day as no matter who is on as the guest, you learn a lot from failure to change to success.
