Janet Shreeve, of Shreeve Care Services, shares her plans for September!
September here! What will this month bring? We’re talking to small business owners to find out what’s coming up for them!
Today we’re talking to Janet Shreeve who is director of Shreeve Care Services. They provide business development to care providers, advice to clients looking for care options and they also provide a bidding service to get on to frameworks.
How was your summer as we go into autumn? Any highlights for you or your business?
I have had an interesting summer with most of it working in Italy on a variety of projects for the next 12 months. You can keep up with all of my Italy projects over on my Facebook or LinkedIn pages: https://www.facebook.com/ShreeveCareServices

What’s coming up for your business in September?
This month is the two year anniversary of the start of Shreeve Care Services and it has been an interesting and exciting and I will not deny it is stressful at times! During September, we are looking to start working with two new clients and also a very exciting project to assist the care sector to be both more efficient and provide significant savings.
September is also known as ‘organic’ month – when it comes to your business/organisation/personal life what do you do to be ‘more green’? If it’s in business do you work with other brands to be more sustainable?
I try to work with businesses and organisations that look to be more sustainable although in the world I work in, it is often difficult. However I do try to work from home and restrict travelling long journeys to meetings that are able to be done online.
World Gratitude Day takes place this month (Sept 21) – what are you grateful for in your business and at home?
I am grateful for working with people who are not only colleagues but friends and I value their help and support over the last few years. My family have been and are always amazing and having been able to spend more time with them this summer, you realise how quickly the children grow and change and how important it is to spend time together.
There are many other ‘points of interest’ during September which could be relevant to you or your business. Here are five, pick any which are personally or professionally relevant to you?
*Sept 6 to 15 – Heritage Open Days 2024.
*Sept 18 – Read An Ebook Day
*Secondhand September
*Sept 27 – World Tourism Day
*Organic Your September
I think the most relevant to me this month are Read an Ebook Day because I read at least four books a week and Secondhand September because I’m sorting out things that I don’t use anymore before I move house so that I don’t have to take it with me!
What are your hopes for business for the rest of this year? Are you launching a new product, service, running an event or something else later in the year?
I am launching a new product but cannot talk about that at the moment. I hope to build the other side of my business offering not only advice and support to those looking for care but also carers who might be looking for respite breaks
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
If anyone would like to discuss their care needs or requires any help navigating the minefield of the care sector I am offering a free 15 minute call. To book just email [email protected]
And finally, September 30 is International Podcast Day – do you listen to podcasts or do you have one of your own? Can you share a tip? Which podcasts should others check out?
I do have a podcast and I do listen to them. I have had a break over the last few weeks and am looking to restart in September. You can find all of my podcast episodes at www.shreevecareservices.co.uk/podcasts
