Jodie Fraser, of Fraser Allen Estate Management, shares what's been happening for her in June!
It’s June already and we’re half way through the year – it’s also officially the first month of Summer, even if the weather has been a bit mixed!
Today we're talking to Jodie Fraser, founder and CEO of Fraser Allen Estate Management which is an award-winning block management specialist in the residential sector. With their head office in Cheltenham, the team also covers Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire.
JUNE is the first month of Summer – what will you be doing this summer in your business?
Summer is always a really busy time for us as we instruct most of our major external works during the summer months. There are a lot of onsite meetings, planning and meetings with residents to reassure them about the pending work.
What are your personal plans for summer activities if you feel happy to share?
Personal plans for me include preparing my daughter to start school, and spending time with friends and family.
June is often associated in nature with growth and abundance – what are your plans for growth in your business this year?
We’re delighted to have taken on a beautiful Grade II* listed building and we are working hard with the residents to assist them with managing the development. This is one of many new developments that have been added to our portfolio in recent months.
As we hit this midpoint of 2024, which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter?
I am incredibly thankful to Taz Thornton who has continuously supported me throughout my career and business journey, but specifically in the past few months.
Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention, where you and/or your business will take a leading role?
We are working with the Hollie Gazzard Trust on the first Active Bystander Conference, which is being held at Hartpury University on 10th July. Fraser Allen Estate Management are sponsors for the event.
June 1 to 7 this year was Volunteers Week. Do you volunteer at all and if so, where and why?
I volunteer my time as Chair of Trustees for the Hollie Gazzard Trust, of which makes me incredibly proud.
June 30 is Social Media Day. What does social media mean to you and your business? What are your favourite social media platforms?
Personally, my favourite platform is Instagram due to the visual and creative nature of the platform. However professionally I prefer LinkedIn as I feel I can help more people there with the services we offer as a company.
We now have a general election coming up in July? What would you like to see from that ‘event’ to support you personally or your business or both?
Personally, I would like to see more support around social care and those living with dementia. As a carer for my grandmother, it is important to me that the new government understands the pressures faced by family members and how more support is needed from the NHS and local authorities.
