July Talk with Bradley Shail
It's July the second summer month and it's the time when school ends of the academic year and holiday season begins. So what's July looking like for you in your business, organisation or role. Today we're talking to Bradley Shail who is Technical Sales Manager for a family-run air conditioning business, Chiller Technical Solutions Ltd, based in Bristol. He works closely with his father & brother working with brands including Network Rail, Ministry of justice, Ministry of Defence, Lloyds Banking Group attending to their air conditioning requirements. Bradley and his family have 16 engineers across the country the UK completing tasks on any sized equipment, any make or manufacturer.
What are your plans for July in your business?
Our main aim is to recruit up to four skilled engineers to our ever growing team. Our customer base is growing & we need to grow our team to keep up with the demand.
What are your personal plans for this month?
My plan is to finally go on my holiday which was planned three years ago but unfortunately due to Covid19, has been put back three times. We will be going to Rhodes in Greece for an all inclusive ten day holiday very soon.
Does July hold any particular significance for you or your business?
July for Chiller Technical Solutions Ltd is always a busy period for us. People are wanting to use their air conditioning more frequently and will quickly realise it is not working correctly or is under performing. This can be due to lack of maintenance.
For me personally this was the month I joined Chiller Technical Solutions Ltd 15 years ago in 2007. I left school with no idea what I wanted to do with myself. So my father gave me the opportunity to earn some pocket money and 15 years later I'm still enjoying myself and am technical sales lead!
Do you like sport – and if so do any sporting tournaments or events stand out for you this month?
We are all mad football fans. We love football from playing, watching and coaching. We all support our local team Bristol Rovers. We often attend games at the Memorial stadium in the city and we always make sure once a year we go to a corporate box and watch the game in style.
On a much lighter note – July 17 is World Emoji Day and this often trends on social media. What do you think of emojis? Do you use them?
Personally I use emojis. I think it’s a great way to communicate especially if you want to say something a certain way, a simple emoji can instantly tell the person how you are portraying your message. By far my favourite one is the laughing smiley. As I often send funny messages, videos and gifs to lift friends and my family's moods.
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
We are offering throughout July and August a free site survey. We will come to your home, office, man cave, saloon … you name it …. and size it up and give you options on how to cool and heat your required space.
Many people don’t know but nowadays it is actually more expensive to buy an air conditioning system as a cooling only unit. And that it can be actually cheaper than running your boiler.
And finally:
Not only are we looking for up to four experienced air conditioning engineers to join our team, we are also interested in taking on up to two apprentices.
These may be candidates already at college studying air conditioning and refrigeration or thinking about going to college. This is a rare opportunity at Chiller Technical Solutions Ltd but we are keen to get this going for the right candidates. If you think that's you please get in touch, or share the opportunity with someone you know who might be interested.
