June Talk with Jodie Fraser
It’s June already and we’re halfway through the year – it’s also officially the first month of Summer and this week there's Jubilee fever in the air.
What does June mean for you and your business? Today we're talking to Jodie Fraser, founder of Fraser Allen Estate Management which is an award-winning block management specialist in the residential sector. With their head office is in Cheltenham, the team also cover Bristol, Bath, Wiltshire and the West Midlands.
JUNE is the first month of summer – what will you be doing this summer in your business?
This summer is all about stabilisation for us. We’ve had a fantastic 18 months in business, so this summer we are looking at company structure, processes and recruitment to ensure we continue to provide the excellent service that we strive for every day.
What are your personal plans for summer activities?
I’m really hoping to be able to spend time with family and friends over the summer. Especially those who do not live near us and therefore our time together has been restricted by Covid19.
Does June hold any particular significance for you or your business?
Although we won’t be celebrating any major milestones in June, we are aware that June 13th – 17th is Loneliness Awareness Week. As advocates for mental health, wellbeing and kindness, we are extremely conscious of those living within our managed properties who do not have local support of family or friends, who may feel very isolated.
This was particularly evident during the pandemic and something that we continue to be conscious of and try and support in whatever way we can.
June is often associated in nature with growth and abundance – what are your plans for growth?
The team are particularly focusing on personal development, and I am personally looking forward to working with executive Kelly Swingler at an event in London at the end of the month.
We want to grow the business, but as I said previously, it’s really important to me and my direct team that we stabilize the company and move it forward with a great structure and ethos.
I want to make sure I work with the right people, who fit with my core values and who want the best for our clients as much as I do.
As we hit this mid point of 2022– which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter?
I have personally been supported greatly in the past few months by my business coach Taz Thornton. There have been some tough decisions to make recently and times when I have wanted to give up, Taz has kept me going.
She has reminded me that she’s got my back, I am more capable than I realise, and I can stand up to those who want to bully me and bring me down. I really couldn’t have got through the last six months without her.

June 1 to 7 this year is Volunteers Week – do you volunteer at all?
I am active in the community working with Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees. I have personally, or through the company donated a bike, a selection of books, laptops, clothes and children’s items and feel that it is so important to support those who have risked everything to be in a safe environment.
Safety in our homes matters so much to me. As well as physical safety, emotional safety is equally as important. Your home should be your safe place, where no one can harm you. This is what matters to me more than anything.
June 30 is Social Media Day – what does social media mean to you and your business? What are your favourite social media platforms?
I always used to be worried about using LinkedIn and using my voice on a business platform to raise awareness in areas that mean something to me. But it has definitely become my favourite social media platform.
Aside from LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook are where you’ll find me and my business too!
And finally:
I’m really excited to be working with Tara Cozens in the near future. Tara is a fellow property professional, who believes strongly in the industry and in working with like minded female entrepreneurs. She can be found here: https://www.tlc-property.com
I am also finalising a client repairs portal, which will be live very soon. I can’t wait to share this with everyone.
