May is the last month of spring and the month often signifies growth – and is derived from the Greek goddess Maia. It’s often a time of events and festivals nationwide. It’s a busy month and it’s also the countdown to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee this year. We’d like to find out more about what some UK small business owners are up to this month. Today we're talking to Jamie Martin who is the MD of Correct Careers Coaching which is a modern sales training and strategy business. It delivers training (full sales cycle) including social media marketing/prospecting, lead generation, new business conversion, client relationship management, negotiation, as well as a sales psychology programme.

May is the last month of Spring – how has Spring been for you so far in your business? 
Spring has been a busy time – working with repeat clients on their sales and social media and hosting a LinkedIn training workshop. 

Have you got any milestones coming up in May, personal or in your business, role or organisation? 
Not in May, but it will be my business's third anniversary in July.  

This has been a challenging time, how are you facing that as a business or as a consumer? 
This hasn’t impacted me due to being a digital selling service consultancy business, I am aware of these issues and my advice is to save for a rainy day!

Do you have any money-saving tips or hacks you could share? 
Purchase products or services that will give you your ROI. 

What’s your one top business tip to help others be positive about their business in May & June 2022?  
It’s the beginning of a new financial year - set your goals, implement a business strategy (i.e., sale and social media marketing), follow a process, enjoy what you do and experience the positive results!

On a personal note, May is National Walking Month – it’s also one of the most beneficial exercises – do you walk at all? 
Yes, I walk, run, and swim all the time! Especially enjoying walking the family dogs ie. our two King Charles Cavaliers and a Chihuahua!

Where is your favourite place to walk?  
Savernake Forest just outside of Marlborough. 

Tell us one thing which we won’t know about you. 
I was doing a backflip in a pub and accidently broke their table!
