What’s coming up for your business in Q4?
Interest rates are the lowest they have ever been for mortgages and heading in to Q4 will see a lot of people’s mortgage deals coming up for renewal. We’re expecting to see a significant increase in people looking to reduce their overall outgoings by reviewing their mortgage.
We’ve seen rates as low as 0.79% on two year fixed and sub 1% deals on the longer five year options. With talk of taxes and National insurance increases people should be looking at saving wherever they can. As a mortgage is generally the biggest outgoing that’s the first place householders should be looking.
This is a month for harvest and Halloween? Are either of these important for you?
Halloween is always nice to see families out and about Trick and Treating, I think it helps bring communities together. With the last year we had it was a different story for Halloween but hopefully this year we might see a bit more normality return.
October 10 was World Mental Health Day – how important is this subject in your business and in your life?
Mental health is so important, having good mental health allows people to thrive and be their best self in both personal lives and work.
Housing is a fundamental factor when it comes to mental health. If people don’t have a home to go to, a safe place, a roof over their loved ones they are at risk of affecting their mental wellbeing.
What practical activities do you participate in at home or at work to protect your mental health?
Me personally I try to get out and do some exercise once a day and take my dog out for nice walks. Good to get out and have a bit of fresh air!
I know my colleagues try to do the same and are trying to remember that work life balance is really important. They have hobbies that they enjoy and try to do as often as they can.
Clocks go back this month – an extra hour in bed? How do you feel about the darker nights etc?
I will definitely appreciate the extra hour in bed! It just makes the days feel shorter. Will just make sure I get what I need done in the day light i.e. walk dog and then enjoy the dark cosy evenings.
Have you got any services or special offers you’d like to mention?
Now is the time to be reviewing your mortgage. Rates are low and lenders are returning to pre-Covid lending criteria. We are completely Fee Free, there’s no hidden costs, no knock on effect to the rate you get, it is genuine fee free advice. I absolutely love it when I’m able to save a client money on their mortgage because I know first hand what a difference that can make to people’s quality of life.
