Rachael Willoughby of CasaGees shares the idea that has her making “dough” from making dough!
March is here and we’re finally seeing the signs of Spring popping up around us. This month is also International Ideas Month and we’re talking to small businesses about the ideas that changed things for them!
Today we’re talking to Rachael Willoughby of CasaGees. Rachael, who is based in Cleeve near Cheltenham, and her partner Elliot Richmond started their side hustle in lockdown and have turned it into a successful business. Here Rachael tells us how she is making “dough” from making dough!
When we started CasaGees in lockdown we had no idea that we would be them delving into the world of franchising!
CasaGees was an idea born out of the necessity of lockdown whereby people were unable to go and eat out. We started making authentic Neapolitan style pizzas from our own kitchen to deliver to the local house bound people of Cleeve. This was a huge change from our current software business but pizza has always been a passion of Elliott Richmond, one of the founders, and our friends had been trying to persuade us to sell them for years!
We started with just 6 pizza options, and we honestly thought we’d just be doing it for a few months.
Three years later and we are still making and delivering pizzas as despite restaurants reopening the demand has never stopped. Now though we have 17 different option, 22 additional toppings and a variety of sides and desserts.
The extra income that has come in has meant we’ve been able to enjoy a fair few holidays, buy our son his first car and more recently fund his US College Scholarship.
It occurred to us that we could show other people how to have this extra income and make dough from…well making dough! And so, the CasaGee franchise idea was born!
We’re now actively looking for people who have a passion for pizza and who want to make a healthy second income, working from home that could involve the whole family.
If that’s you then take a look at our website at www.casageesfranchise.co.uk to see just who we are looking for!
There must be something in the air in March - International Ideas Month - as we recently had the idea of combining our software development background with our pizza selling experience to create some invaluable software to help pizza business owners - watch this space!
