Stefan Thomas has an exciting summer coming up!

It’s June already and we’re half way through the year – it’s also officially the first month of Summer, even if the weather has been a bit mixed!

Up today is Stefan Thomas who is a keynote speaker and author of Business Networking for Dummies. Stefan speaks to audiences, inspiring and motivating them at business conferences and events.

JUNE is the first month of Summer.What will you be doing this summer in your business? 
I've already had two speaking engagements in June and am currently preparing for the solicitors Sole Practitioners Group Annual Conference in Istanbul at the end of the month where I'm the keynote speaker.

What are your personal plans for Summer activities if you feel happy to share? 
The summer means lots of live music for me. We've already enjoyed Witney Music Festival and Nocturne Live at Blenheim and have plans for as many live performances as possible in the summer.

Does June hold any particular significance for you or your business?
June is the tenth anniversary of Business Networking for Dummies!

June is often associated in nature with growth and abundance. What are your plans for growth in your business this year?
Plenty of personal development this year as I grow the networking side of the business and move into bigger organisations.

As we hit this midpoint of 2024, which one business has really supported or helped you over the last quarter?
Tony Leake, my mindset and business coach has been a real support.

Have you got any events planned for the coming months which you’d like to mention, where you and/or your business will take a leading role? 
The solicitors Sole Practitioners Group Annual Conference in Istanbul. I'm excited to be the keynote speaker.

June 1 to 7 this year was Volunteers Week. Do you volunteer at all and if so, where and why? 
I was a Cub Scout Leader for 7 years. I stepped down from the role as my kids grew up.

June 30 is Social Media Day. What does social media mean to you and your business? What are your favourite social media platforms?
Social media has been huge for my business as an extension of real life networking. I continue to win significant speaking engagements as a result of my social media presence.

We now have a general election coming up in July. What would you like to see from that ‘event’ to support you personally or your business or both? 
A recognition from the incoming government of the many many micro businesses being run from people’s homes and around their family lives. These businesses often pay someone's mortgage / bills and whilst they're not multi million £ businesses the sheer volume of them means that they're a major contractor to the economy, and often very overlooked.

Single director limited companies where the owner is also the main worker felt very ignored during the pandemic. We want to feel at least acknowledged, and supported as much as larger businesses.
