Colkett arrived at the County Ground on January 11 and has largely impressed since, as he has contributed a number of assists and scored his first goal for the club, in some style, in the 4-2 defeat at home to Sheffield United on Tuesday.
Unfortunately for Colkett and his teammates, results have not been great before or since him joining, with the club deep in the relegation mire, but regardless, Colkett believes he is developing as a player while in Wiltshire.
"It's been great on an individual basis," he said. "I've played loads of minutes and obviously I added a goal to my game today.
"I'm just enjoying playing but, of course, I want to do well for Swindon and three points is the main thing at the end of the day so hopefully I can help towards that until the end of the season."
When Colkett signed on a loan deal until the end of the season in the winter transfer window he was joined by Chelsea colleagues Fankaty Dabo and Islam Feruz, who he says have played a big part in helping him settle in.
"It's been good (having them around) you've got to get amongst it anyway but when there's some familiar faces it definitely makes it a bit easier and it's good playing with them."
Prior to Swindon, Colkett spent some time at rivals Bristol Rovers, where he scored three goals in 15 games for the Gas, but he is of the opinion that Swindon's playing style will help his game more.
The 20-year-old, who has two FA Youth Cup and two UEFA Youth League (under-19 Champions League) titles to his name as captain, says that Town's "footballing background" will help prepare him for Chelsea's first team.
"Swindon has probably got more of a footballing background (than Rovers), I would say their DNA's more 'get the ball down and play as much as possible', it's similar to Chelsea's style and that's what I'm aiming towards and it really suits me."
