We caught up with Simon Orrells Managing Director of Frame Technologies to find out more about the world of Timber Frame building and to find out more about the man himself!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your Business?

I have been in the timber frame industry now for over 25 years and I love it. Building in timber is fantastic and such a lovely product. Timber frame is now the main stream form of construction with market share approaching 30%. Working with our clients to deliver there dream is also a great feeling and being with them on their journey to build an energy efficient home for the family

Why should someone choose Frame Technologies for their self-build project?

We are a family business and very passionate about our product. We will work with you from design through to delivering the super structure and helping break down the barriers and deliver best value.

What do you enjoy most about running Frame Technologies?

Every build is different and meeting different people from all parts of life and then helping them bring their dreams to fruition.

Your 2pm meeting has been cancelled, meaning you now have a two-hour lunch break. What do you do?

Have a chance to look online at the latest in Timber Frame technology and innovations in the market as our sector is constantly evolving with a market share close on 30% now, I have always taken an interest in innovation within our sector and seeing where I can add value with the next solution.

How do you like to spend your time off?

Travelling and experiencing new culture.

What has been your biggest achievement to date?

Meeting my wife Jennifer and building our business.

What are your plans for the future?

Travelling while we are still fit and able to do so.
