Former Wilko Store in Swindon Reopens as Poundland Ahead of Festive Season

Swindon Town Centre is set to gain a new retail shop as the former Wilko store on The Parade opens its doors as Poundland, just in time for the festive rush.

Scheduled to welcome shoppers from December 9, this is just one of 63 Wilko sites across the UK that will be opening as Poundland.

Wilko entered administration in August leaving all 400 stores and 12,500 employees at risk.

Poundland's expansion has meant that there have been employment opportunities for staff who previously worked in Wilko, with the retailer encouraging individuals to apply for available roles.
