Guest Blogger: How to Hide Your Tummy

How to hide your Tummy is something I have been doing for a long time as I used to go to the gym, dance samba... but since I had my children, I’ve not been very disciplined with exercise. And as a personal Stylist, I know it’s an area that a lot of women have issues with... so I decided it would be good to share my tips on this blog and video.

So let’s start! And as usual, just click on the photos to go to the websites…

As mentioned in my video;

-> Avoid tops that are too baggy or too tight as it’s not flattering either way, so choose a garment that is fluid enough but doesn’t create extra volume on your tummy.

-> Another tip is to buy tops that have vertical stripes, patterns or style cut as the top on the below photo shows. It will elongate the area, making you look slimmer.

-> Peplum tops are great but beware that if you have wide hips or thighs, it may create more volume. It needs to stop at the right place.

I also tend to choose some high waisted trousers/jeans or skirts as it gives extra support to hide my tummy. If you have good legs then slim fit trousers will work wonders for you! The low waist trousers tend to emphasise the extra weight in that area so stay away!

A Line dresses or empire dresses suit pretty much all body shape so go for it if you haven’t tried that style.

Body shapers for special occasions or dresses can make you look a size smaller so are worth trying if you have one of those fabulous dresses you don’t dare wearing because you feel it shows your tummy too much!

As always, don’t forget to bring the ATTENTION towards your neck area and face with necklaces, earring and/or scarves. I’m looking forward to hearing from you, what works for you? what doesn’t? Please share in the comment section or on Social Media.
