Phil Vickery talks Raging Bull at Clarks Village
With Father's Day fast approaching, many of you will be dashing over to Clark's Village to pick out the perfect gift. Total Bath caught up with former England international rugby star Phil Vickery, to talk about his clothing brand 'Raging Bull' and their store at Clark's Village
Following his retirement from the sport of rugby, Phil Vickery decided to delve into the world of sporting merchandise with the ambition of giving something back to the grassroots level.
The concept was then born, taking his renowned nickname from the field of play - 'Raging Bull'.
Initially supplying team kit to local schools and rugby clubs, the quality and service meant the brand grew quickly and Raging Bull soon expanded and embarked upon the world of lifestyle.
With the aim of developing a clothing range which embodies hard-wearing, honest and distinctive values, Raging Bull began to branch out across the UK, with two main outlet stores located at Clark's Village and Swindon Outlet village.
Vickery admits the brand is different than many others because of how personal it is to him, and carries his identity.
"Raging Bull was my nickname given to me by Sir Clive Woodward, and represents what I did and what I stood for as a rugby player and as a person, honesty, courage and commitment along with pride of being British," said Vickery.
Wanting to know more about the brand, the former England international explained the journey Raging Bull has been on, and what comprises the products today.
"We slowly developed, we didn't have a huge amount of money to go from nothing to just something. We listened to people and connected with people. We're very well made, the products are very resilient with a great quality," said Vickery.
With Father's Day fast approaching, Raging Bull offers a solution to the search for a perfect gift for Dad. Although Vickery notes his determination to ensure the brand caters for all.
"I'm a big lad myself, we get some big sizes. Just like rugby the brand caters for such a cross section of the family. Young lads, middle aged lads, old lads, big, small - the brand is there for everyone," Vickery said.
Vickery himself recently made a visit to the Raging Bull store at Clarks Village, to meet fans and sign products.

Speaking of the day Vickery said: "What a delight it was to visit Clarks Village. It was the first time for me and I have to say I was so impressed with the look and atmosphere of the place and will definitely be returning with the family.
"It was also brilliant to meet such a great bunch of people from the area including kids from Millfield and local rugby clubs Wells and Tor," he added.
Along with the usual product range, from polo shirts to blazers, jackets, trousers and shorts, Raging Bull also have a designated Father's Day section, including select favourite items from Phil himself, each available in the Clarks Village store.
