It's a sad day in Swindon as Sainsbury's confirm the closure of it's Brunel store, which has stood in Swindon's Town Centre for almost 50 years.
It is said that a statement from Sainsbury's said: "We have updated colleagues on the difficult decision to close our Swindon superstore in November and we are doing everything we can to find alternative roles within Sainsbury’s for those affected."
Customers are to be reminded that the two other stores in Swindon, located at Bridgemead and Stratton, will remain open, as well as a new store that will be opening at Tadpole Village very soon.
