TGt top reasons to visit the Swindon Designer Outlet Village
In today’s climate, where we choose to shop and spend our hard-earned cash is as competitive as ever. Whereas online shopping may dominate the market for convenience, it cannot compete with experience.
And we believe that a visit to the Swindon Outlet Village is one that is hard to beat. If you are yet to visit or need a reminder of why you should, here are our top reasons to make a date with the Outlet;
History
Located in Swindon’s former Carriage works. The Swindon Outlet Village is surrounded by history, with its neighbours the STEAM Museum and the English Heritage headquarters located in the former railway works and engineers’ office. Take a walk through the Bristol Street Tunnel which connects the Outlet with the town centre. Explore the iconic railway village and marvel at the railway’s monuments displayed throughout the centre. Much the same as its shopping the Swindon Designer Outlet is home to many big-name restaurants and eateries from Carluccio‘s, Wagamama’s to Costa Coffee and KFC.

Family friendly
Shopping with children can be challenging. As a parent, constant requests for the toilet, complaints of hunger and sheer boredom are enough to drive anyone to stay at home. However, as well as catering for seasoned shoppers the outlet village has the answer to all your little one's needs;
- Located throughout the centre are toilet facilities offering baby changing and parent and child cubicles.
- A well-equipped and maintained play area is sure to help combat their boredom. With the bonus of a Starbucks attached allowing you to enjoy a coffee, while you watch, them play.
- Land train – with over a hundred shops it can be difficult to explore the centre on foot. View your options and entertain the kids at the same time with the centre’s land train.
